Purification before Beautification…..
التخلية قبل التخلية
It is a simple concept:
You can’t put jewels into a treasure box filled with trash.
You can’t fill Iman in a heart filled with sins.
You can’t enter Ramadan without proper preparation in Sha’baan.
By the last day of Ramadan, our Iman is soaring high. We feel the lightweightedness of being freed from many sins. Over the year, we go up and down with our Iman, but inevitably we gather sins.
If we wait until the first day of Ramadan to unload the sins before replacing it with good deeds and habits and before raising our Iman, we have already lost a great deal of valuable time. The time is NOW, and even that NOW is slipping quickly away.
ما جعل الله لرجل من قلبين في جوفه
Allah has not put for any man two hearts inside his body. (Al-Ahzab: 4)
You cannot expect to raise your Iman’s status without purifying your heart of its diseases, minor as they may be, before hand.

The credit of this post ultimatley goes to my awesome Sis, and here is her original post: http://withmydreams.wordpress.com/2009/08/05/purify-then-beautify/
She also made absolutley beautiful pictorials to go with it, just for a visual:
Get rid of that trash…

So you can have room for the good stuff

Let’s-Apply-Together:
-Some ways to start purifying:
-
Remembering to focus in salah (prayer)
-
Remembering all the sunahs
-
Getting up before fajr (suhoor time) to make du’aa or pray
-
Focusing less on food and drink and more on Qur’an.
-
Reading a daily portion of Qur’an.
-
Not taking part in idle/prohibited speech.
-
Practice lowering the gaze from all that is haram, (and watching out for what we hear/listen to)
-Write this slogan “Purification before Beautification” on a paper and hang it up on a place you see often: mirror, fridge, wallet…
P.S-Again, jazakiAllahu Khairan Dania for your awesome effort!
Wallahu Taa’la Aalam
gooood stuff mashaAllah very beneficial!
