Here is the continuation of ayah 25, surah AlBaqarah:
‘audhobillahi minash shaytaan nirajeem, bismillahir rahmanir rahmeen.
“Whenever they will be given fruits to eat, they will say: ‘This is similar to the one we used to eat before on Earth.’ For the fruits will resemble the fruits on the Earth for their easy identification and enjoyment. And for them there will be chaste virgin spouses and they shall live therein forever.”
Okay, so:
ڪُلَّمَا
Kullama means whenever
رُزِقُواْ
Ruziqu means they were given Rizq, (specifically food from Jannah).
مِنۡہَا
Minha – from it
مِن
Min – from
ثَمَرَةٍ۬
Thamr – means the fruit, a provision
The people of Jannah then say this is similar to something we’ve had before.
وَأُتُواْ
wa ‘utoo – Comes from the root hamza, taa, yaa which means given to them and brought.
مُتَشَـٰبِهً۬ا
Mutashabihaa – comes from the root sheen, baa, haa, which means to resemble, in nature or appearance.
This is in reference to the fruits of Jannah. Now, why would the fruits of Jannah resemble something we’ve had in appearance?
Because being given something strange usually scares people. Knowing the food gives them comfort.
Also, our teacher said that you’ll eat one fruit, grab another that looks like it and it’ll taste totally different! SubhanAllah again, humans like change (remember, interior decor!) and the food will change for you, without you even thinking about it!
Moving on…
أَزۡوَٲجٌ۬
Azwaj – comes from zai, wow, jeem (zawj) which means one of a pair (spouse). Azwaj is the pair – both spouses.
What kind of spouses will they be?

مُّطَهَّرَةٌ۬
Mutaharah – comes from the root taaw, haa, raa which means clean, pure, both spiritually and physically.
How does that work?
It means the people of Jannah will have no physical ailments (sicknesses, and no menses, etc) and no spiritual ailments (mean no jealousy, hatred, arrogance, etc, etc). Amazing eh?
But you know, our teacher said that comes from also being pure in this dunya by keeping physically clean and spiritually clean inshaAllah
خَـٰلِدُونَ
Khalidoon – comes from the root kha, laam, daal which means eternal, to stay, to never leave. It also means to remain permanently in one form, to never change. It’s of a perfect state, where you never grow old =)
So you know, in this dunya, you keep having to go get new clothes, get your hair cut, maintain yourself, etc but the original form of the people of Jannah is young and beautiful
Alhamdulillah!

Okay, let’s put all that together.
Once again, imagine you’re a person of Jannah inshaAllah.
You’re going to be given fruit and think Hey, this looks familiar.
You pick it up and taste it, and it’s totally different from anything you’ve tasted.
Later on, when you feel the need to eat again, it’ll be different from the above, again subhanAllah!
It looks the same for comfort, and changes taste for keeping you pleased.
You’ll have a pure spouse inshaAllah.
You’ll be a pure person, both spiritually and physically.
And you’ll be young and hott and never have to maintain it ‘cuz that’s just how you look in Jannah InshaAllah
Believe and Work hard my dear sisters and InshaAllah you’ll be chillin’ in Jannah with your palaces overlooking the rivers, and lookin’ good through it all
And that is Ayah 25 of Surah alBaqarah.
Wa Allahu ta’ala ‘alim.
Please correct me if I made a mistake.
Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen!
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds!
